Grace Service Society helped Flood Victims at Khammam City and surrounding area for 5035 families and 2828 Children with Food, Rice Bags, Groceries, Blankets, Bed Sheets, Sarees and children Clothes In the State of Telangana.

Grace Service Society helped Flood Victims at Khammam City and surrounding area for 5035 families and 2828 children with Food, Rice Bags, Groceries, Blankets, Bed Sheets, Sarees and Children  Clothes in the State of Telangana. 

Recent Sudden pouring rains caused flooding Khammam, Mahabubabad and Suryapeta Districts of Telangana State on 1st September 2024. It was reported that 31 people lost their lives in the recent heavy rains, and many injured. Authorities evacuated over 10000 people from the most flood affected areas to safer places. According to the reports 15252 houses were damaged and over 100 villages submerged in the floods. Roads, Buildings, Bridges and infrastructure badly damaged. 

During this time people were in desperate need for any help. We the volunteers and team of Grace Service Society in Khammam immediately responded to the need and started helping people with supplying food in first hand and then continued helping flood victims with Rice Bags, Groceries, Blankets, Bed sheets and sarees for over 5035 families in Khammam city and close by areas and also helped 2828 children with children clothes. Need is so great, beside Government support, there is great need of support from volunteer organizations and likeminded people. 

We are very thankful that Grace Service Society held a vital role in helping flood victims right at the time of need. 

GSS helped about 11,433 flood effected families with rice , groceries, tarpaulin sheets , blankets and children kits In the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Flood Relief: Thousands of families in hundreds of villages badly affected by flood and people moved to safer areas while leaving everything behind in the flood. During this time in July 2022, we have gathered as six teams from our organization and we have taken trucks full of rice bags, groceries, blankets and tarpaulin sheets for their temporary living also provided children kits.

During this time we have helped 11,433 families whose homes were devastated by flood effects. Flood victims were very thankful and thanked with their tears for this urgent help given to them.

On 15th of August 2022 the day of our Independence, the District Magistrate of Eluru (Andhra  Pradesh) presented an award of appreciation to our organization for holding an active role during this time of floods and helping people.
